Adaptive reuse project converting a 2-story 10,900 SF general Office Building into 8,100 SF of combined pedodontic / orthodontic practice.  We converted half of previously non-barrier free  2-story building into a barrier free 1-story space with 18' ceilings. This conversion required a close partnership between Expressive Architecture and our Structural Engineer at PE&CS to determine and remediate the effects of removing over 2,800 SF of 2nd floor structure and 8 columns. The 5,500 SF first floor includes 7 open orthodontic chairs, 2 private orthodontic exam rooms,  7 enclosed pedodontic chairs, as well as the required support space.
